Cambridge, UK | Full-time | Permanent | Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 DOE

We are looking for highly motivated scientists to work on experiments with superconducting qubits. These positions will be funded by the European Research Council (ERC) through the Advanced Grant „Millimeter-Wave Superconducting Quantum Circuits” - Milli-Q. The goal is to develop novel superconducting quantum circuits which are operating at frequencies one order of magnitude larger than those demonstrated until now, going up to the 100 GHz frequency range, introducing numerous advantages, including:

Central European Workshop on Quantum Optics (CEWQO) is one of the most popular annual meetings for scientists from Europe and beyond. Each year it is organized in a different place and this year its 28th iteration returns to the Central Europe. Let us meet in Olomouc (1st—5th of July, 2024) and discuss the broad canvass of Quantum Optics, from the fundamentals to the technological applications.

I am recruiting one PostDoc in my group at Inria Saclay, Ecole Polytechnique near Paris. PhD and master thesis candidates are also welcome to apply. As part of a new dynamic INRIA Team located in Saclay, you will have the possibility to collaborate with other quantum information researchers in Paris area and abroad.

mm-Wave photonics in crystals – This project aims to create a new laser-based approach for generating frequencies of increased spectral purity and wider frequency range. This is significant as forefront areas such as quantum sensing and wireless communications that rely on ultra-precise measurement and ultra-sensitive detection require more adaptable, higher-purity, frequency sources.
