UNSW Canberra has an opportunity for a Research Associate - Theoretical Quantum Optics. You will become a member of the Advanced Electromagnetics Group undertaking research in the field of Theoretical Quantum Optics working on projects funded by external sponsors in the area of quantum optomechanical and electromechanical systems.
A postdoctoral position is available at the University of Ottawa aimed at developing nanowire quantum dot non-classical light sources at telecom wavelengths for implementation in quantum networks. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree in physics and a strong background in quantum optics and photonics of semiconductor-based nanostructures. Knowledge of quantum optical spectroscopy techniques, measurements at cryogenic temperatures and frequency translation techniques based on non-linear processes in on-chip waveguide structures are considered an asset.
