Welcome to Quantiki

Welcome to Quantiki, the world's leading portal for everyone involved in quantum information science. No matter if you are a researcher, a student or an enthusiast of quantum theory, this is the place you are going to find useful and enjoyable! While here on Quantiki you can: browse our content, including fascinating and educative articles, then create your own account and log in to gain more editorial possibilities.

Add new content, such as information about upcoming quantum events, open positions for quantum scientists and existing quantum research groups. We also encourage to follow us using social media sites.

Nuclear Theory Group invites applications to fill one or two doctoral positions. Applicants for these positions must have a M.Sc. degree, or foreign equivalent, and some experience in research in theoretical nuclear physics or condensed matter theory. Prospective candidate should have an interest in computational methods, and their application to solve physical problems. The successful candidate will join the international group working on the theoretical description of low energy nuclear reactions, dynamics of quantum gases and nuclear matter in neutron stars.

3 Research Fellows (PhD candidates) in Informatics / Computer Science
Department of Informatics, University of Bergen, Norway

Closing date for applications: 1st June 2015

These positions are advertised across specialisations, and include the following possible research topics:

The aim of the workshop is to discuss current theoretical developments on quantum non-equilibrium dynamics at the interface of statistical mechanics, condensed matter, cold atoms, quantum information, metrology and control.

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Physics, from as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science. The appointee is expected to conduct research on theoretical quantum information science and quantum cryptography in the group of Professor H.F. Chau. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor H.F. Chau (e-mail: hfchau@hku.hk).

We currently have an open position for a PostDoc that is supported by our basic funding. We look for a candidate that strengthens our activities in the field of quantum plasmonics and quantum optics at the nanoscale. Beyond this core expertise, the PostDoc shall support and complement our activities in the fields of linear and nonlinear plasmonics, near-field optics, metamaterials, and light propagation in disordered media. More details can be provided upon request.
