Opportunity: CIRTA – Quantum Computing (PhD & Postdoc) 🇨🇦
The Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards (CIRTA) are a new Tri-Agency initiative to recruit outstanding international PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to Canada.
Funding
• PhD: $40,000/year for 3 years
• Postdoc: $70,000/year for 2 years
We are inviting Expressions of Interest for potential internal nomination to CIRTA in the following research areas:
• Quantum algorithms
• Quantum learning
• Quantum complexity
• Quantum error correction
Successful applicants will be co-supervised by Dave Touchette and Cunlu Zhou at Université de Sherbrooke, working at the interface of quantum computing, complexity, and quantum information theory.
These awards are highly competitive and intended for candidates with a strong research track record. Please reach out only if you can demonstrate clear, evidence-backed research achievements.
Applicants cannot have a current affiliation with a Canadian institution and must be currently studying or working abroad.
Please note that any nomination is subject to institutional selection and compliance with the final program eligibility and nomination rules.
