At Lace Lithography, we are happy to offer an exciting opportunity for a junior experimental physicist to join our experimental team in Bergen, Norway. We are a recently founded company focused on developing revolutionary chip lithography technology that will significantly enhance chip performance.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual who has recently graduated from a Master's or a PhD program and is eager to kickstart their career by joining an ambitious startup backed by international investors.

Your Role:

As a Junior experimental physicist, you will play a key role in our experimental team. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), our Senior experimental physicist and our lab manager you will contribute to the technical roadmap of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the design and construction of the next generation instrumentation
- Perform and evaluate measurements on existing and new instrumentation
- Do extensive literature research
- Assist in commissioning new equipment and experimental components

Qualifications:

- Recently completed an experimental Master's degree/PhD degree in a relevant area such as (but not limited to) atom optics, bose einstein condensates, atom interferometry, atom scattering or plasma physics
- Demonstrated academic or project experience is a plus, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with data analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant software packages and programming languages such as Matlab, Labview, Python, C++ or similar.
- Courses in Atomic physics are an advantage.
- Practical experience with UHV instrumentation is a must.
- Strong interest in the development of new scientific instrumentation.
- Ideally, some exposure to research or project work in the field, which may include relevant coursework or publications.
