About the Quantum Stochastics & Information group at the School of Mathematical Sciences, University of Nottingham. Building on the tradition of quantum probability and quantum stochastic calculus (Prof. V.P. Belavkin), our current interests include: theory of entanglement and quantum correlations, and their applications for quantum optical communication and many-body physics; relativistic quantum information; quantum statistics, metrology and estimation; and much more. We maintain active collaborations with the gravity group and the new Midlands Ultracold Atoms Research Centre at Nottingham, as well as with a number of theory and experimental groups in UK and worldwide. We are currently 4 staff members, 1 postdoc, 8 PhD students.
Please get in touch with Gerardo Adesso (gerardo.adesso@nottingham.ac.uk) for expressions of interest, before November 8, 2010.
