The PhD is a 4-year program and will focus on developing machine learning techniques for optimising dynamical decoupling (and related) procedures for open quantum dynamics. The project will be jointly supervised by Philip Taranto (quantum), Wei Pan (ML) and Mauricio Alvarez (ML), providing opportunities across both quantum theory and ML/AI domains.

Application is due by end of January 2025, with shortlisted candidates to be interviewed in February and selected students to begin in September.
