PhD position at the Laser Centre of the University of Latvia in Nitrogen - vacancy centers in diamond crystals and/or alkali atom based quantum sensors

The Latvian Quantum initiative (LQI) is a partnership between leading academic institutions in Latvia recognized for research excellence in specific domains of quantum technologies. The initiative has been granted dedicated funding for development of research potential in quantum technologies, leveraging synergies between participating labs.
Within this initiative, we are seeking to appoint PhD student who will work on development of alkali atom based quantum magnetic field sensors at the Laser Centre of the University of Latvia. This research will be done as a part of Latvian Quantum Initiative, Latvian Research Council and NATO Science for Peace and Security funded projects.
