A PhD position is available to work in the Quantum Correlations Group of the Department of Applied Physics at the University of Geneva under the joint supervision of Dr. Martà Perarnau-Llobet and Prof. Nicolas Brunner. The project is of theoretical nature and aims at optimising several thermodynamic tasks at the nanoscale, such as cooling, heat-to-work conversion, and quantum thermometry. The starting date is flexible (around September 2020), and the position is fully funded for 4 years.
