For our group at the University of Siegen (Germany) we are looking for a motivated PhD student or postdoc in the field of quantum information theory, foundations of quantum theory, and quantum optics. The group is led by three PIs (Otfried Gühne, Matthias Kleinmann, and Stefan Nimmrichter) and the research topics include:
- theory of multiparticle entanglement and quantum steering,
- temporal quantum correlations and generalized probabilistic theories,
- thermodynamics of open quantum systems and quantum thermal machines
Applicants for a PhD position are expected to have a MSc in physics, experience in theoretical physics and interest in foundational questions of quantum mechanics. Applicants for a postdoc position are expected to have a significant research record in a relevant field.
