The Theory of Quantum Systems Group invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researchers in the theoretical and computational condensed matter physics group of Prof. Michał Nowak. The research involves modelling of topological superconductors, superconductor-semiconductor heterostructures, topological Josephson junctions with the aim to focus on quantum transport and nonreciprocal phenomena.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics or a related field. Experience in theoretical and computational modeling of topological superconducting systems is highly desirable. Additional expertise in computational quantum transport methods is highly welcomed.
The position includes opportunities for travel both to present at conferences and to collaborate with other groups. This research will be conducted with Michał Nowak (http://mpnowak.org) and members of Theory of Quantum Systems Group (https://acmin.agh.edu.pl/2021/06/theory-of-quantum-systems/).

Planned start date of the position: January 2023
Planned period of employment: 18 months with possibility to prolong by another 15 months
Salary: 8 000 PLN gross with extra 13th salary and possibility to apply for additional financing.
