Postdoc & PhD Position in Quantum Information Theory (Siegen/Germany)

For our group at the University of Siegen (Germany) we are looking for a motivated postdoc and/or PhD student in the field of quantum information theory, foundations of quantum theory, and
quantum optics. The group is led by three PIs (Otfried Gühne, Matthias Kleinmann, and Stefan
Nimmrichter) and the research topics include:

  • theory of multiparticle entanglement, quantum networks, and quantum steering,
  • foundations of quantum mechanics and generalized probabilistic theories,
  • thermodynamics of open quantum systems and quantum thermal machines

Applicants for a PhD position are expected to have a MSc in physics, experience in theoretical
physics and interest in foundational questions of quantum mechanics. Applicants for a postdoc
