The Quantum Computing Theory group at University of Tokyo (International Center for Elementary Particle Physics, PIs: Koji Terashi, Nobuyuki Yoshioka) is seeking several postdoctoral researchers in fault-tolerant quantum computing and quantum error correction.
Research topics include (but are not limited to):
- Quantum computing theory
- Proposing, verifying, and benchmarking frameworks and architectures for quantum advantage in many-body simulation
- Quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Spacetime generalization of error countermeasures
- Quantum information theory and many-body systems

The appointment is on a yearly basis with possible renewal up to five years. Starting dates are flexible, typically between April and December 2026. For full consideration, applications should be submitted by January 9, 2026.
