The new round of Anne McLaren Fellowships (for women in science) and Nottingham Research Fellowships (for all candidates) at the University of Nottingham is now open. The Fellowships are open to outstanding early career researchers with up to 8 years of postdoctoral experience. The Fellowships offer a three year competitive salary, with a link to a permanent academic position at the end of the project (subject to performance). The Fellowships include the opportunity to apply for research costs up to £25,000 per annum, childcare costs of up to £5,000 per annum (where appropriate) and participation in a mentoring scheme and career development programme. It is anticipated that one Fellowship from each scheme will be awarded per Faculty.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the fast-growing and internationally renowned Quantum Information group at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, The University of Nottingham. To apply, an expression of interest is due by September 25, 2015, for internal evaluation. Please contact Gerardo.Adesso@nottingham.ac.uk, Madalin.Guta@nottingham.ac.uk, or Silke.Weinfurtner@nottingham.ac.uk directly to discuss potential applications. The University deadline for the first stage of the process is set on October 26, 2015.
