The Light-Matter Interactions Unit (https://groups.oist.jp/light) in OIST, headed by Prof Síle Nic Chormaic, invites applications for a research technician in the unit. The candidate will provide technical support across all experimental areas in the group. Candidates with experience in electronics, optical nanofiber fabrication, interfacing, optics, or fibre-based imaging are preferred. The successful candidate must hold at least an MSc in an experimentally related area and have a couple of years of relevant experience. Strong programming skills (LabVIEW, SLM programming, fast data acquisition, GPU-accelerated computing) are also desirable. Ability to work as a team member, while assuming day-to-day responsibilities in the laboratory is also required.
