Our group investigates quantum many-body systems coupled to an external environment. We are interested both in fundamental questions and in quantum technological applications of open quantum systems. Our main interests are:
- Dissipative quantum state engineering
- Steady state quantum phase transitions
- Quantum simulation
- Numerical methods for open many-body systems
- Topologically ordered states of matter
