Dear all,
We are announcing Quantum UK 2015: The Science and Innovation Conference of the UK Quantum Technology Hubs. You are all warmly invited to attend! The conference will be held at St. John’s College, Oxford, from 28th-30th September.

We will hear the latest developments from all 4 of the UK Q. Tech. Hubs, focussed on quantum enhanced imaging, sensing, communications and computing. We will also have reports from the global Q. Tech.

As part of the £80m UK National Quantum Technology Hub in Sensors and Metrology (http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/generic/quantum/index.aspx), we are seeking applications for 12 4-year PhD studentships to work on the development and application of high-precision quantum sensors of magnetic fields for biomedical imaging, rotation for navigation, and gravity for underground mapping.

One day workshop in Sheffield on quantum technologies. We have experts from Yorkshire and beyond speaking on how quantum physics can be harnessed for high-performance computing, cryptography, gravitational sensing, optical imaging, and more. The last year has seen a surge of interest and investment in quantum technologies, and this workshop will survey these topics with emphasis on research happening regionally. QuTe is organized by post-graduate researchers from Sheffield Physics. Attendance is free, but prompt registration is required to arrange catering.
