The newly established junior group Theory of Controlled Quantum Many-Body Systems at the Technical University of Berlin is pleased to invite applications for two PhD positions (3 years). The earliest starting date is 1 April 2025.
The Trapped Ion Quantum Technology Group at Stockholm University is
seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to contribute to
pioneering research in open-system quantum simulations with trapped
Rydberg ions. This position is part of the ERC Synergy project “Open 2D
Quantum Simulator (OPEN-2QS)”.
The Trapped Ion Quantum Technology Group at Stockholm University
invites applications for a highly motivated PhD student to join our
pioneering research in quantum simulations with trapped Rydberg ions.
The aim of the PhD project is to develop a quantum simulator for
modeling molecular dynamics using our trapped Rydberg ion technology.
This position is part of the ERC Synergy project “Open 2D Quantum
Simulator (OPEN-2QS)”, which will start on 1 May 2025.

The ArQuS laboratory led by Prof. Francesco Scazza at the University
of Trieste and CNR-INO, Italy is looking for well-qualified, highly
motivated postdoctoral researcher in experimental quantum simulation and
quantum many-body physics with neutral atoms. The group efforts are
currently focused on on cooling, trapping and controlling ytterbium
atoms with high-precision optical manipulation and spectroscopic
techniques, achieving resolution down to the single atom. Atom-by-atom
assembly of mesoscopic fermionic systems allows for exploring open
