Prof. Anlage is an experimental physicist working in the fields of high-frequency superconductivity, quantum/wave chaos, and near-field microwave microscopy. In particular he pioneered the field of superconducting metamaterials, developed rf SQUID metamaterials, and is now embarking on a program to develop quantum metamaterials based on superconducting qubits.
