Luigi Amico is Associate Professor at the Department of Physics & Astronomy, University of Catania, associate member of INFN-Laboratori Nazionali del Sud, member of IMM-CNR, staff Visiting Professor at the Centre for quantum technologies (Singapore) and holds the LANEF 'Chaire d'excellence' (France). He has been visiting professor in several international institutions including Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (Canada), Rutheford Appleton Laboratories (UK), Institute for Advanced Studies (Singapore), Universitè Grenoble Alpes (France). Prof. Amico has a documented long term experience on quantum statistical mechanics and theoretical solid state physics with specific application to quantum information and cold atoms physics; his expertise includes non-perturbative methods for strongly interacting quantum systems, critical phenomena, mesoscopic physics, physics of magnetically ordered systems, . Prof. Amico is author of more than 100 papers with current h-index equal to 30. His papers have been cited about 7000 times (Google Scholar) and he presented more than 100 invited talks. He is co-editor of a 2 volume special issue in international journals. Publications include articles in high impact journals (1 Nature, 1 Review of Modern Physics, 11 Physical Review Letters, and 2 Phys. Rev. X).
