I am Markus Müller, a theoretical quantum physicist.
I grew up in Germany, where I completed my undergraduate studies in physics at the University of Konstanz in 2006. From 2007 to 2011 I realised my PhD studies on Many-Body Quantum Simulation with Rydberg Atoms and Ions in the quantum optics theory group of Prof. Peter Zoller at the University of Innsbruck and the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) in Innsbruck, Austria. In 2011, I started a postdoctoral researcher position in the Quantum Information and Computation Group at the Theoretical Physics Department of the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. In November 2015, I began a faculty position as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physics at Swansea University in Wales, UK, where I have built up my own research group, with a focus on theoretical quantum computation and simulation (www.markus-mueller.website).
