The PostDoc will participate in the theoretical project "Quantum correlations in multi-component systems of several fermions" inspired by the most recent experiments in the field of ultra-cold gases confined in optical traps. The main objective is to perform very accurate, realistic numerical simulations which will bring us closer to a better understanding of physics of multi-component fermionic mixtures. In addition, the successful candidate will help to supervise PhD Student in the project.
The project is financed by the (Polish) National Science Centre.

The 2024 edition of the Quantum Thermodynamics Conference (QTD2024) will be held August 5-9 at the University of Maryland, College Park, in the US.
The primary goal of QTD is to discuss recent advances in quantum thermodynamics, the field that studies thermodynamic processes at the quantum scale. The first edition of the conference was held in Berlin in 2013 and was followed by events in Mallorca, Porquerolles, Erice (QTD2016), Oxford 2017, Santa Barbara 2018, Espoo 2019, Barcelona (online) 2020, Geneva (online) 2021, Belfast (online) 2022, and Vienna 2023.

We have openings to contribute to a variety of activities centred on trapped-ion systems with focus on developing new programmable quantum algorithms for the simulations of chemical dynamics, exploring advanced quantum control techniques for qudit- and bosonic-based quantum computations, and the development of novel quantum metrology protocols for sensing and the tests of fundamental physics.
We have openings for talented young scientists who are ready to take up a leadership role in our group and to spearhead new initiatives and provide supervision and guidance to junior members of the team.
You will be part of a well funded initiative to create hybrid systems with Lithium Niobate and rare-earth ions for quantum information processing. Your job will include the following subjects:
- Leading the measurement of Integrated Photonics chips
- Operating dilution refrigerators (Bluefors LD400)
- Mentoring graduate students

The Second International Workshop on the Art, Science, and Engineering of Quantum Programming (QP 2024) will provide a platform for researchers and practitioners interested in the Art, Science, and Engineering of Quantum Programming and its relation with classical programming to discuss research challenges, possible solutions, and future research directions. Such discussion could build the road map for quantum programming.
The workshop is intended for researchers, including students, at any stage of their careers. Moreover, practitioners are also a relevant audience for the workshop.
Submission page: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=qp2024
Submission deadline: 22 January 2024.
QP2024 will feature two types of events. First, we will have a session on presenting papers accepted in the workshop. The rest of the workshop will be focused on a dedicated discussion of the workshop topics in a similar fashion as Dagstuhl or Shonan to draft a roadmap on the topic of the workshop. The workshop organizers will send invitations to the researchers working in this area. However, the workshop is open to anyone who is interested. Please consult the workshop chairs if you are interested in joining the workshop.
The workshop is organized as a part of The International Conference on the Art, Science, and Engineering of Programming (Programming› 2024)
The Group of Optical Communication at the Civil, Aeronautical and Computer Science Engineering Department of Università Roma Tre, Rome, Italy is looking for a 2-YEAR POSTDOC to work with Dr. Matteo Rosati on the PNRR project “Smart Quantum Information Decoders”.
