Context: The PhD project is part of the ITN “QUDOT-TECH” (www.qudot-tech.eu), that aims to construct a platform for fully integrated on-chip quantum information (QI) processing including Quantum Dots (QD)-based single-photon sources, waveguides, nonlinearities and detectors implemented on a planar chip. QUDOT-TECH gathers leading European academic and industrial partners to show that in a combined effort the current technological bottlenecks can be overcome, paving the way for quantum enabling technology for research and industry.

We announce the opening of one PhD position in non-equilibrium many-body theory in the Institute of Physics at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz to work in the group of Jun. Prof. Dr. J. Marino (https://sites.google.com/site/jamirmarino/).

The PhD student will be an integral part of a new team of researchers covering a broad range of topics including quantum statistical physics, condensed-matter theory, and quantum many-body optics in far-from-equilibrium conditions.

Applications are invited for a competitive PhD scholarship in Quantum Information Theory at the National University of Ireland, Galway. We are seeking for two PhD students (monthly stipend 850 EUR + 850 EUR for other development costs) and one master student (monthly stipend 450 EUR) in the filed of quantum computation. The positions will be implemented within the group of dr Michał Oszmaniec in Center for Theoretical Physics PAS in Warsaw. We are a newly established group at Stockholm University with open PhD and postdoc positions. Research in the group focuses on quantum optics, quantum control and quantum information theory. One major research interest is the interface between gravity and quantum physics at low energies, focusing on how gravity affects quantum optical systems, what novel effects can arise and how to probe them in experiments.
