We are looking for excellent PhD students and postdocs to join our group (www.barzgroup.de) at the University of Stuttgart and the Center for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology (www.iqst.org).
You are interested in:
- Integrated quantum optics and quantum information processing
- International collaborations
- Interdisciplinary research at the intersection of physics, engineering, computer science, mathematics
In the Physics Department of the University of Cologne, the laboratory of Prof. Yoichi Ando works in the field of topological matter and is trying to realize topological quantum computing. To address this goal, three key elements -- materials synthesis, nanodevice fabrication, and ultra-low-temperature measurements --- are synergistically performed in the same lab. Multiple Postdoc and PhD positions are available within the newly-granted Cluster of Excellence “ML4Q” (Matter and Light for Quantum Computing) as well as the ERC Advanced Grant “MajoranaTopIn”.

The Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) is a consortium funded by the Quantum Flagship Programme. The consortium consists of twelve universities from eight European countries, in close cooperation with over twenty companies and institutes. The aim of QIA is to the develop a blueprint for a future quantum internet.
4 PhD student positions in experimental quantum computing at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden
We are currently recruiting PhD students for the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology and the Flagship-funded project OpenSuperQ. Our ambitious goals at Chalmers are to build a quantum computer with 100 superconducting qubits, and to apply it to real computational problems that cannot be efficiently solved on a conventional computer.
