PostDoc

We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral researcher who will be responsible for developing quantum photonic integrated chips and has a competence in the quantum photonics area. The applicant will join the research and academic environment of Institute of Solid State Physics https://www.cfi.lu.lv/en/ in collaboration with Quantum Optics Laboratory of University of Latvia will work on development of integrated quantum photonics with focus on single-photon sources, frequency conversion and single photon detectors.

We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral researcher who will be part of the research efforts to develop quantum sensors for magnetic field measurement. The researcher will be joining the research team of the Laser Centre of the University of Latvia currently researching alkali atom and Nitrogen - vacancy centers in diamond interaction with laser radiation in presence of external fields and developing quantum field sensors based on these quantum objects.

A number of PhD and Postdoc positions are open in the newly founded theoretical and mathematical physics group of Prof. Daniel Burgarth at FAU in Erlangen, Germany. We are interested in quantum control, open quantum systems and mathematical structures with applications in quantum technology. German knowledge is not required. We hope to build a friendly and diverse group driven by open ended curiosity and passion. We are particularly looking for applicants with good pencil and paper skills for analytical calculations. Applications will be considered immediately.

We are looking for PhD students and postdocs to join the newly established Quantum Information Theory group at Jena University. If you are interested in joining our growing research team, then apply now!
Topics of interest cover the whole range from quantum information and computation to quantum many-body physics, with a focus on machine learning methods for quantum technologies and quantum simulation.

The Department of Physics of the University of Napoli Federico II has opened one 3-year RTD-A (Ricercatore a tempo determinato di tipo A, Time determined Researcher - type A) in theoretical physics. This position is equivalent to a non-tenure track assistant professor. A two years extension is in principle possible, depending on funding, but in no way automatic or sure.
