We are seeking a talented and motivated PhD student to work in the field of quantum information theory. The position will be based at the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw (Poland) and is funded within the SONATA BIS project of the National Science Centre in Poland. At Quantic group (Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Spain), we develop quantum computational techniques, software and algorithmic solutions that require quantum computers or quantum emulators. We exploit all the scientific tools at our disposal, including HPC, quantum processors and hardware, and AI techniques. We currently host a digital quantum computer, and we are in the process of installing a quantum annealer, both based on superconducting circuits technology, installed on-site and integrated with our supercomputer MareNostrum5.
