Post-doctoral Fellowship
The Physics of Information and Quantum Technologies Group, at Instituto de Telecomunicacoes (in Lisbon, Portugal), is seeking to hire a Post-doctoral Research Fellow. The position is available to start in early 2018, and is renewable beyond the first year.

Become part of the Vienna Quantum research community - CoQuS and join one of the most vibrant places for quantum science in Europe!

The Vienna Doctoral Program on Complex Quantum Systems (CoQuS) has been a training center for more than a hundred students the past 10 years. Our 15 different research groups are working on the forefront of the developments in modern quantum science and technology at six different locations in and around Vienna.

I am inviting Ph.D. applications in quantum algorithms, quantum cryptography and quantum complexity starting Fall 2018 in the Computer Science Department at Portland State University. Other areas of interests include post-quantum cryptography and generally theoretical computer science (TCS) starting Fall 2018. Competitive financial supports are available.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a postdoc with experience in experimental quantum and/or nonlinear optics. Possible projects are:

- High-gain parametric down-conversion: nonclassical features, nonlinear interferometry, quantum tomography
- Generation of photon triplets through a direct cubic nonlinear process
- Physics at the boundary of quantum and nonlinear optics: nonlinear effects pumped with quantum states of light, extreme events, interaction of light with matter.
