In the group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University a position is open in the field of many-body physics with cold quantum gases. Candidates capable of using the numerical method MCTDHB are strongly preferred. Possible topics include fragmented condensate many-body states and hybrid systems like cold atoms interacting with superconductors, with quantum information applications. Initial appointment is for one year with a possible extension to two years. Salary is according to the Korean postdoc scale.

PICQUE Bristol Young Scientist Conference aims to bring young researchers together in a lively environment to discuss and collaborate state-of-the-art quantum photonic information. Well known keynote speakers will introduce the fundamentals aspects of quantum photonics from quantum computation, quantum-metrology and quantum simulation to single photon sources and detectors. Finally, participants will also have the chance to meet members of industry and understand their perspective of quantum technologies.

Salary: £25769 to £37768 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £28982 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Fixed term.

The project is to carry out research on the equilibrium and out-of-equilibrium properties of many-body system, for example cold atomic gases, quantum optical systems or classical colloidal systems. One focus will be on the study of the emergence of correlated states and collective phenomena in the presence of dissipation and/or (coherent) driving.

Applications are invited for a position as a Post-Doctoral Research Officer at the Department of Physics in the College of Science (reference AC1416) at Swansea University, to develop research in the field of theoretical quantum information, under the supervision of Dr Markus Müller.
