Welcome to Quantiki

Welcome to Quantiki, the world's leading portal for everyone involved in quantum information science. No matter if you are a researcher, a student or an enthusiast of quantum theory, this is the place you are going to find useful and enjoyable! While here on Quantiki you can: browse our content, including fascinating and educative articles, then create your own account and log in to gain more editorial possibilities.

Add new content, such as information about upcoming quantum events, open positions for quantum scientists and existing quantum research groups. We are also distributing news via X (Twitter) feed, Bluesky news feed, and LinkedIn profile. We encourage you to follow us on social media to get the recent news from quantum infromation community.

The OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) XO laptop is supposed to be for kids, but, the grownups have been having fun with it as well. "After a few hours of tinkering with the kernel config, timezones (the xo's had to be synchronized with an accuracy of at least 0.5 sec) and the dependencies, the team successfully tested the first [http://www.olpcaustria.org/mediawiki/index.php/Quantum_Cryptography 'entanglement based quantum key distribution' between two xo laptops!]".

Researchers from the University of Queensland have taken a significant step in the quest to build a quantum computer, creating a light-based quantum circuit capable of basic calculations and moving quantum computing closer to a becoming a reality.

University of Queensland researchers are among an international team to have made the first ever execution of a quantum calculation, a major step towards building the first quantum computers.

Guifre Vidal from the University of Queensland, has come up with a new method for performing renormalization group operations on entangled systems.

We are moving forward!

As you can see Quantiki is under development. At the moment we are working on some new features like news and events posting, LaTeX support and much, much more. We are encouraging you to use existing tools and if you need something do not hesitate and send your wishes to team[at]quantiki[dot]org
