Recent breakthroughs across multiple experimental platforms have demonstrated that quantum systems can be measured, controlled and manipulated in real time, opening doors to novel tasks in information processing, communication and sensing.

The aim of the workshop is to take advantage of this unique opportunity and bring together experts from across the world in both theory and experiment, addressing both the current progress and future challenges within the field.

PhD and postdoc positions are available in the group of Prof. Stefan Willitsch at the University of Basel (Switzerland) on the development of quantum technologies for single trapped molecular ions and their application in precision spectroscopy.

Project description

The Institute of Theoretical Physics (ITP) at Ulm University, led by Martin B Plenio and Susana F Huelga, invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral position.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for theoretical quantum physics and the willingness to collaborate and the ability to supervise. The position will be based at our state-of-the-art research building, located on the main University Campus within the newly establish Center of Quantum BioSciences.

The Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy) is hiring a senior postdoctoral researcher in quantum communications. The post is funded through the EU flagship "QSNP" (Quantum Secure Networks Partnership). Local PI is prof Cosmo Lupo. The group of theoretical physics and quantum information includes faculty members prof Saverio Pascazio, prof Paolo Facchi, prof Francesco V Pepe, five research fellows and a number of postdocs and PhD students.
