Theoretical Quantum Technology, Aachen and Jülich (Markus Müller)

Short name:

Theor. Q. Tech. (M. Müller)

Research type:

Our research in theoretical quantum physics is mainly centred on scalable quantum computation and quantum simulation, with a focus on the development of implementations in atomic, molecular and optical (AMO) systems.

A key research focus lies on the ongoing ERC Starting Grant project "Open Quantum Neural Networks: From Fundamental Concepts to Implementations with Atoms and Photons (QNets)".

Our group also forms part of the EU Quantum Technology Flagship Project "Advanced quantum computing with trapped ions (AQTION)" and other international research consortia aiming at developing scalable quantum information processors.
