We seek for highly motivated, skilled, and independent graduate students that wish to develop their scientific career in a stimulating environment. This doctoral degree project will be carried out in the Quantum Photonics group led by Ana Predojevic (http://qphotonics.fysik.su.se). The successful candidate should have interest in quantum technologies, specifically quantum information and communication.

Your mission

As Quantum Algorithm Developer at Q.ANT, you will set new standards on the Quality of photonic quantum computing. You will Anticipate which existing quantum algorithms are most suitable to be adapted onto our photonic architecture for a given problem set. Furthermore, your Nosiness and creativity will let you to devise novel photonic quantum algorithms. In combination with the collaborative Teamwork of all Q.ANTies, this will enable you to solve thus far intractable problems.

In view of realizing new quantum technologies, it becomes crucial to manage energy exchanges and thermodynamic tasks at the level of singles quantum systems, where quantum effects may play an important role. In this spirit, this project will explore, from the theoretical point of view and in collaboration with experimental groups, new kinds of quantum machines, based on elementary quantum systems (i.e.

In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University, a Postdoc position is open in the field of simulations of curved spacetime (aka analogue gravity).
Previous published experience in analogue gravity is required.
Possible physical realizations include, but are not limited to, ultracold quantum gases, ion traps, and condensates of light.

The Trapped Ion Quantum Technology group at Stockholm University invites applications for a postdoctoral position on our trapped Rydberg ion experiments. The postdoc will work on an experiment to investigate Rydberg physics and perform quantum gates in longer ion strings.

Postdoctoral research positions are available in the Department of Mathematics to work with Asst. Prof. Cihan Okay on the project titled "Topology of quantum resources: Homotopical methods in resource theories for quantum information and quantum computing" funded by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. Applications are encouraged from candidates working on areas related to quantum information and algebraic topology. Further details of the project are available at http://cihan.okay.bilkent.edu.tr/.
