Photonic quantum networks would enable quantum computing, guaranteed-secure communications and enhanced sensing capabilities, running at high bandwidths in ambient conditions

Title: Postdoctoral and PhD positions are available at QIT@KAIST, Korea.

Postdoctoral and PhD positions are available in the group of Quantum Information Theory at KAIST. The successful candidates will work as part of the research group led by Joonwoo Bae, in topics of fundamental aspects of quantum information theory and their applications to communication, metrology, and computation. The topics include quantum protocols, entanglement theory, quantum channels, etc.

QuTiP, the Quantum Toolbox in Python, is looking for students interested in taking part to summer projects as code developers. A number of summer projects are available in the framework of Google Summer of Code 2019. QuTiP is participating as an affiliated project of the NumFOCUS foundation.

Google Summer of Code will support a selected number of students over 3 months in the summer to perform a programming project.

Available projects:

The Quantum Foundations and Quantum Information Theory research group led by Prof. Caslav Brukner at the University of Vienna and the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI-Vienna) in Vienna is offering a PhD position to a highly motivated and well-qualified student to work in the field of quantum foundations and quantum information theory.
