Applications are invited for one Postdoctoral Research Assistant to study mechanisms of energy transport in multi-chromophore systems in the quantum information science group of Dr. Animesh Datta at the University of Warwick, UK.

The post is available initially for fixed-term duration of 24 months, with extensions of 12 or more months contingent on additional funding. The starting date is expected to be no later than September 01, 2017.

We are offering one appointment for a postdoctoral scholar pending funds approval. The scholar will join our group efforts to explore quantum optics, circuit QED, cavity QED, quantum optomechanics, integrated photonics, and optical physics systems and their applications to information technologies at INAOE Monterrey. Particular projects will be discussed with the candidates on an individual basis.

We are offering one appointment for a junior postdoctoral scholar in finite spin-boson systems at INAOE Monterrey. The scholar will join our group efforts to explore the quantum Rabi model and afine finite extensions like the cross-cavity quantum Rabi model.

The ideal candidate will have a recently obtained (<= 5 years) Ph.D. in physics or engineering with research experience on quantum optics or AMO physics. Practical knowledge of the quantum Rabi model, the asymmetric two-qubits Dicke model, and the cross-cavity quantum Rabi model is desired.

In the group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University a position is open in the field of quantum many-body physics of ultracold gases, using the numerical method MCTDH-X. Possible topics include the application of the obtained quantum many-body states to quantum metrology and sensing, as well as many-body localization and the exploration of the properties of fragmented condensate many-body states.
Initial appointment is for one year with a possible extension to two years. Salary is according to the Korean postdoc scale.

The project will support development of hardware and systems software for the integration of quantum and classical communications in optical networks. This will entail work on and around the interface between quantum key distribution (QKD) technology and high speed optical network transport.

You will preferably have a PhD in a technological / engineering area relevant for telecommunications and / or advanced high speed optical networking. Significant experience in these areas may be considered in lieu of a PhD.

Applications are being accepted for postdoctoral research fellow positions in quantum information and device theory at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS) at the University of Maryland-College Park.

A postdoc/PhD student position in Germany

A fully-funded postdoc/PhD student position is available to work at Peter Gruenberg Institute (PGI-2) in Forschungszentrum Juelich, near Aachen in Germany. For students the degree will be granted by RWTH university in Aachen. The researcher will work with Dr. Mohammad H. Ansari. The project can be started in the Summer or Fall 2017.
