3-year Postdoc in Quantum Information Theory in the group of David Jennings
Application Deadline: 3rd January 2021.
A postdoc position is available in the group of Stephanie Wehner within the Quantum Internet Division at QuTech. The successful candidate will work on the design and analysis of architectures for near term quantum networks.
Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher to work with Peter Bierhorst at the University of New Orleans located in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The duties of the postdoctoral researcher will be to perform research drawn from the fields of quantum information, quantum nonlocality, and/or applications to device-independent quantum information protocols. While this position is in the mathematics department, applications are welcomed from students and researchers with backgrounds in physics, computer science, or other related fields.
At Xanadu, we are learners, innovators, researchers, collaborators and problem solvers. We are creating something that has never been built before. What we are doing is extremely hard, the classic moon shot. Few people in their life will be able to be a part of something like this, where if we are successful, the technologies we develop will solve some of the world’s most challenging problems, and literally change the world. And that is something to be excited about!
A Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available in the area of quantum technologies, supported by an Innovate UK project Assurance for Quantum Random Number Generators. This project is a major collaboration with several industrial partners. The aim is to work with such companies, studying their current commercial and near commercial quantum random number generators (QRNGs) in order to accurately assess the amount of quantum randomness they are generating.
The group of Dr. Animesh Datta at the University of Warwick, UK is seeking a postdoc each each for
1. Quantum-enhanced interferometry for new physics
2. Quantum sensing of complex quantum systems
See here for details.
The Mathematics and Computer Science (MCS) Division at Argonne National Laboratory seeks multiple postdoctoral candidates to participate in projects that model the behavior of multiqubit systems, develop quantum algorithms for materials simulations, perform quantum network simulations, and develop quantum network protocols. Postdoctoral appointees will have a unique opportunity to become part of the Q-NEXT Center, a National Quantum Information Science Research Center that includes nearly 100 researchers from three DOE national laboratories, ten universities, and ten leading U.S.
The Quantum Technology group at Queen's (QTeQ, https://web.am.qub.ac.uk/wp/qo/) seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral fellow from or around 1 January 2020 for 1 year, to work on the exploration of the limits of validity of the quantum superposition principle. The position is within the FET project TEQ (http://tequantum.eu/).
The interested candidate should contact Mauro Paternostro at m.paternostroATqub.ac.uk for further details. Additional information from the QTeQ website above.
The Quantum Technology group at Queen's (QTeQ, https://web.am.qub.ac.uk/wp/qo/) seeks to appoint a postdoctoral research fellow to undertake theoretical research in non-equilibrium thermodynamics of quantum processes. The two-year post, funded by EPSRC, is available from or around 1 January 2021. The position can be further extended, subject to performance.
For further information, please contact Mauro Paternostro at m.paternostroATqub.ac.uk. Details available from the QTeQ website.
Applications are invited for a 2-year postdoctoral research position, applied for competitively through the Irish Research Council, to work at the National University of Ireland Galway, with Michael Mc Gettrick, in areas such as quantum computation, quantum walks and quantum games. While the final deadline is November 19, interested parties should get in touch well before that for initial discussions to determine an area of mutual interest. Email michael.mcgettrick@nuigalway.ie
