Two PhD positions and three postdoctoral positions are available at Trinity College Dublin, in the groups of Prof. Felix Binder and Prof. Mark Mitchison. The studentships are fully funded with a stipend of €18,500 per year and will commence in September 2022. The postdoc positions are to start between 1 August 2022 and 1 March 2023 with a starting salary of €47,406 subject to annual increments. All positions come with adequate access to a travel funding and computing resources. See below for further details of the individual research group interests.

The Photonic Quantum Information Processing (PQuIP) team at NRC is looking for postdoctoral candidates with interest in this area. We pursue exciting ideas in development and applications of light-matter interfaces in photonic quantum information processing. The candidate will explore theoretical approaches in quantum optics in enhancing generation of quantum error-correcting states and will study the impact of various components in scalability of quantum computing tasks. Any prior research background in these areas is considered an asset.

The group of Stefano Pironio is opening one PhD position and two postdocs positions to work on quantum correlations, quantum networks, device-independent applications, and the certification of quantum systems.

PhD position: We are seeking a motivated student with a background in physics/mathematics/computer science. Experience with or a desire to learn the programming language Julia is a plus.
Salary is 2,101.68€ net per month.

The group "Crystals and Quantum State Dynamics" (www.cqsd.fr) at IRCP (Chimie ParisTech/CNRS/PSL University), led by Dr. Philippe Goldner, is internationally recognized for developing rare earth doped crystals for applications in quantum technologies. These materials show unique properties in the solid-state in terms of long optical and spin coherence lifetimes, and are thus among the most promising materials for building light-matter interfaces at the quantum level.

We are offering PhD & postdoctoral positions to well-qualified, highly motivated, and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a stimulating environment.
