We have openings for PhD positions in the Nonequilibrium Quantum Dynamics group at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden, Germany.
The research topics are in quantum many-body physics, and range from:
1) Engineering effective Hamiltonians for quantum simulators using nonequilibrium drives;
2) Equilibration and thermalization of nonequilibrium quantum systems;
3) Control and manipulation of nonequilibrium quantum many-body states;
4) Reinforcement learning on near-term intermediate-scale quantum computing devices;
5) Tensor-networks-based reinforcement learning for quantum many-body systems;
6) Machine learning techniques in quantum many-body dynamics.
