SCOPE

This project will advance CMOS-compatible quantum hardware and contribute to the development of fault-tolerant quantum computing systems by tackling challenges in the design, fabrication, and integration of microwave-frequency amplifiers operating at the quantum noise limit.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on quantum error correction (QEC) and fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC) for photonic and spin-optical architectures. The successful candidate will work part-time in the QEC/FTQC team of Quandela (Massy, Paris region, France) and part-time in the Institut Mathématiques de Bordeaux, under the supervision of Prof. Gilles Zémor, for an initial two-year term, with the possibility of extension.

Quandela is a spinout company from the French national laboratory CNRS, based in the Paris region, that develops quantum computers based on the manipulation of single photons. Its core technology is quantum-dot single-photon sources with a spin degree of freedom, enabling quantum information to be encoded on both spins and photons. The research group of Associate Professor Jarryd Pla has an opening for a Post-Doctoral Fellow. In this role, you will conduct simulations, design, and experimental work on superconducting quantum devices to perform quantum-noise-limited measurements at elevated temperatures (> 1.5 Kelvin).
