AQIS ’20 will focus on quantum information processing, communication and cryptography, an interdisciplinary field bridging quantum physics, computer science, mathematics, and information technologies. AQIS’20 will be a natural successor of EQIS’01-EQIS’05 and AQIS’06-AQIS’19. AQIS’20 will consist of invited talks, and selected oral and poster presentations.
The Quantum Information and Computation Initiative (QICI) of the Computer Science Department at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) invites applications for PhD Fellowships for the academic year 2021/2022.
QICI is home to a vibrant research community, organised in two research groups led by Professors Giulio Chiribella and Ravi Ramanathan. We support an open research culture, where original thinking and academic merit are encouraged and nurtured.

We are offering a funded three year postdoctoral position to a highly motivated and well-qualified researcher who intends to work in the field of quantum thermodynamics. Applications are invited for a competitive PhD scholarship in Quantum Information Theory at the National University of Ireland, Galway. The application will be made to the Irish Research Council (www.research.ie), but in the first instance candidates should contact michael.mcgettrick@nuigalway.ie to discuss research topics. We are especially interested in Quantum Walks, but any area within quantum computation theory is welcome.

We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in quantum information theory at the Free University of Berlin. The position is partially funded by the PASQuanS project of the Quantum Flagship initiative, securing additional scientific visibility. The successful candidate will work as part of the research group led by Professor Jens Eisert at the FU Berlin. The position is a full E13 position initially for two years, but may be extended.
