We have the pleasure of announcing the 56th Symposium on Mathematical
Physics to be held at the Institute of Physics, Nicolaus Copernicus
University in Toruń, on 13-15 June 2025. Please, consult our web page
https://smp.fizyka.umk.pl/smp/smp56/ for the programme and registration
details. We hope that you will find time and interest to join us for the
meeting.
The Mathematical Institute of SAS offers a postdoc position for
research in quantum information theory. The successful candidate will
join a research project under supervision of Anna Jenčová
http://www.mat.savba.sk/~jencova/index.html, focused on properties of
quantum channels and higher order maps. The research is conducted in
collaboration with the Quantum information foundations group at the
Research Center for Quantum Information, http://www.quantum.physics.sk/
at the Institute of Physics of SAS.

Postdoctoral Position in Quantum Information Theory –
University of Valencia
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position at the University
of Valencia and IFIC (UVEG-CSIC). The successful candidate will join the
research group of Manuel Gessner in quantum information theory and
quantum metrology, as part of the Quantum Technology Group at IFIC.
Application deadline:
Wednesday, March 19, 2025
We offer 3 PostDoc positions in the group of Ludovico Lami at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy, focused on quantum information theory, entanglement and quantum resources, and quantum Shannon theory.
The Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) is one of Italy’s most prestigious universities, with a long-standing tradition of academic excellence. Founded by Napoleon as a twin institution to the ENS in Paris in 1810, the SNS selects its students with a rigorous admission process, and counts three Nobel laureates and a Fields Medalist among its alumni.

The 2024 edition of the Quantum Thermodynamics Conference (QTD2024) will be held August 5-9 at the University of Maryland, College Park, in the US.
The primary goal of QTD is to discuss recent advances in quantum thermodynamics, the field that studies thermodynamic processes at the quantum scale. The first edition of the conference was held in Berlin in 2013 and was followed by events in Mallorca, Porquerolles, Erice (QTD2016), Oxford 2017, Santa Barbara 2018, Espoo 2019, Barcelona (online) 2020, Geneva (online) 2021, Belfast (online) 2022, and Vienna 2023.
The newly established Group of Quantum Optical Communication and Metrology of Roma Tre University in Rome, Italy, is looking for a PhD candidate starting in the academic year 2023/2024. The PhD fellowship is financed by the EU and the National Recovery Plan, via a research project on Quantum Communication led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Matteo Rosati.

The University of Bari (Italy) is expanding its research activity in quantum information science and technology.
We welcome applications from candidates interested in any aspect of theoretical quantum information science and technology. We currently have vacancies for up to six research fellows (deadline January 4th, starting date March 1st, 2023).
Selected candidates will be hired as fixed-term researchers (3-year, a more senior position than postdoc) and will be free to decide their research activities, within a wide range of “quantum” options.
The theoretical division of Quantum Algorithms, directed by Prof. Leandro Aolita, at the Quantum Research Centre (QRC) of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, together with the Quantum Technology Research Group, directed by Junior Professor Martin Kliesch, at the Theoretical Physics Department of the Heinrich-Heine University of Düsseldorf (HHU), Germany, is seeking a highly talented and motivated candidate for a PhD position in quantum algorithms and quantum computation theory.
