A range of PhD and PostDoctoral positions are available for TheBlinQC (Theory-Blind Quantum Control). Areas include Theory and Control of Opto-Mechanical Systems, Experiments with Rydberg Crystals, Experimental Opto-Mechanics with a Levitated Nano-Sphere, Quantum Control Theory, Theory of Many-Body Physics, in particular time crystals, and Control Theory, in particular Kalman Filters. Locations are Olomouc, Stuttgart, Vienna, Aberystwyth, Kraków, Lisbon and London.

The IQT group at Griffith University (Brisbane) is currently looking for a post-doc starting in 2018. The research project will be on continuous variable quantum information in waveguide. The ideal candidate should have experience in quantum optics and integrated photonics. But a strong background in one of this two area is sufficient. The position is for 2 years and the candidate will be part of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology (http://www.cqc2t.org/).

We invite applications for experimental and theoretical post-doctoral researchers in the field of quantum optics, cold atoms, Bose-Einstein condensation, matter-wave interferometry, atomic spectroscopy, atom vapor cells, and Quantum Physics in general. We offer a highly stimulating and energetic environment for experimental and theoretical atomic physicists [http://www.bgu.ac.il/atomchip/Papers/Papers.htm]. Qualified applicants will receive very competitive offers, including generous re-location packages.

The Department of Physics at the University of Siegen invites applications for a

Junior professorship (W1) for theoretical quantum optics
with tenure-track option for a permanent professorship (W2)

We are offering up-to-3-years post-doc position to well qualified and highly motivated young theoretical physicist on a topic intersecting quantum simulations, cold atoms and quantum tensor networks, as well as a PhD-student opening, in the group of Prof. Jacek Dziarmaga, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland.

The QUEST (QUantum Enhanced Sensing Techniques) lab in the Weizmann Institute of Science invites enthusiastic applicants for graduate studies (PhD) or post-doctoral research stay to combine physics, chemistry and some engineering in the emerging field of quantum sensing.

The lab specializes in the nitrogen-vacancy center in diamond as its quantum sensor, and will apply it to the study of molecule structure, intra- and inter-molecule reactions and couplings.

In recent years separate research communities of condensed matter physics, working on solid-state systems with a strong element of light-matter interaction, have made progress towards realising topological states. Semiconductor microcavities are semiconductor hetero-structures in which optical modes coherently mix with quantum well excitons forming polaritons. These interacting bosonic particles have been shown to undergo condensation, superfluidity, and rich hydrodynamics.

Dear Colleagues,

it is our pleasure to announce the 25th edition of the CEWQO (Central European Workshop on Quantum Optics), which will be hosted by IFISC, Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems and take place at the campus of the UIB, Mallorca (Spain), from 21 to 25 of May 2018.

The quantum information science group of Animesh Datta at the University of Warwick is offering two PhD projects for October 2018. They are:
1. From quantum supremacy to quantum simulations
2. Mechanisms of energy transport in photosynthesis

See www.warwick.ac.uk/qinfo/join/ for details of the projects and application instructions.

International students with exceptional records must contact Animesh Datta before January 15, 2018 for scholarship options.
