We are looking for a postdoc with experience in experimental quantum and/or nonlinear optics. Possible projects are:

- High-gain parametric down-conversion: nonclassical features, nonlinear interferometry, quantum tomography
- Generation of photon triplets through a direct cubic nonlinear process
- Physics at the boundary of quantum and nonlinear optics: nonlinear effects pumped with quantum states of light, extreme events, interaction of light with matter.

The goal of this two-day workshop is to bring together decision/game theorists and physicists to find a common language in discussing uncertainty. It is organized by the Game Theory Group of University of Pécs. There will be dominantly invited talks by quantum information scientists and game theorists. Contributed posters are welcome.

Within a new theory center at the University of Haifa, one post-doctorate position is offered in the group of Prof. Ofir Alon. The candidate should have a strong background in theoretical and computational physics of Bose-Einstein condensates, and background and will to further develop the MCTDHB method and its linear response. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility for an extension to a second year. The salary is according to the University of Haifa post-doc scale. Application deadline is 01/MAY/2018.

The Quantum Photonics Laboratory at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland (http://qpl.eps.hw.ac.uk/) is looking for a talented and enthusiastic post-doc to work on quantum information communication technologies using solid-state spin-photon interfaces such as III-V quantum dots. A description of the position can be found here: http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/BFF718/research-associate-in-quantum-photonics/. Please contact Prof.

The AQIS’18 conference will focus on quantum information processing, communication and cryptography, an interdisciplinary field bridging quantum physics, computer science, mathematics, and information technologies. AQIS’18 will be a natural successor of EQIS’01-EQIS’05 and AQIS’06-AQIS’17. AQIS’18 will consist of invited talks, selected oral and poster presentations, tutorials, as well as other activities. Contributions are solicited in (but not limited to) the following areas:
Quantum computation, algorithms and complexity
Quantum information theory

The University of Toronto Theory of Computation group invites applications for postdoctoral positions in quantum computing and quantum information starting in Fall 2018. Topics of interest within quantum information science include: algorithms, complexity theory, optimization, information theory, and cryptography. We prefer candidates that have a computer science/mathematics background, but all excellent candidates will be considered.

The University of Surrey is looking to employ a full time Research Fellow in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics for a fixed term two year position to participate in the major EU FET project High Frequency Topological Insulator devices for Metrology (HiTIMe) with a potential for extension (project ending is 31 January 2022).
