The world economy is being driven by emergent global trends in communication, security, sensing, and computing. As performance limits are reached in existing technologies, quantum enhanced technologies will increasingly disrupt and replace current approaches.
Together with its partners from academia and industry, the Government of Canada is facilitating the Quantum Canada initiative. The first step is a consultative survey to identify the gaps, opportunities, and challenges for quantum R&D and the commercialization of quantum technologies in Canada.

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland is hiring new faculty this year, with multiple positions available in multiple areas. We anticipate hiring in quantum information as part of this search, and we encourage strong candidates to apply. The successful candidate will be part of the Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (quics.umd.edu), a partnership between the University of Maryland and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. For more information, please see the job advertisement:
Postdoctoral Position in “Quantum Simulation and Many-Mody Physics with light”
The position is at the group led by Dimitris Angelakis in the Centre for Quantum Technologies Singapore. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong research background in quantum optics and quantum physics in general. Exceptional candidates from condensed matter theory (especially from strongly correlated and/or topological quantum systems) and/or quantum information will also be considered)
Submission deadline:
