The newly established Group of Quantum Optical Communication and Metrology of Roma Tre University in Rome, Italy, is looking for a PhD candidate starting in the academic year 2023/2024. The PhD fellowship is financed by the EU and the National Recovery Plan, via a research project on Quantum Communication led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Matteo Rosati.

The recently created Vigo Quantum Communication Center (VQCC) (https://vqcc.uvigo.es) at the University of Vigo (https://www.uvigo.es), Spain, seeks to appoint a group leader and various postdoctoral researchers on free-space and satellite-based quantum communication. The group leader appointment includes a start-up package of 2.5 Million Euros for scientific equipment and personnel up to September 2025.

If you are establishing your career as a leading scientist in micro- and nanofabrication and want to build a strong group and a teaching portfolio with access to a worldwide renown university cleanroom we have an offer for you.

The National Centre for Nano Fabrication and Characterization at DTU Nanolab invites applications for a position as full professor in silicon nanofabrication with focus on MEMS, NEMS, nano-electronics/photonics, and quantum device applications.

I am looking for motivated scientists to join my group at the University of Augsburg, Germany.
You will work on the project: Universal quantum computer with Kitaev transmon qubits.

The Kitaev transmon qubit is a hybrid semiconductor-superconductor qubit fabricated by embedding an array of quantum dots with superconducting coupling (forming a Kitaev chain) in a transmon architecture. You will work on designing and optimizing new qubit gate schemes for control and manipulation of these qubits.

Shared entanglement is widely acknowledged as the key enabler to future quantum information processing tasks. Yet, from a technological perspective, it has remained largely unclear how exactly one should approach the transfer from ideas and laboratory experiments to actual technology. In particular this is true for the domain of quantum communication.
