The workshop "Kefalonia Foundations 2023: Workshop on the Theoretical and Conceptual Foundations of Quantum Physics" is back for its second edition to challenge some of the drawbacks of the typical academic environment, create a deep sense of cooperation and promote research in an open-minded and non-dogmatic way.

As part of new initiatives in the area of quantum computing, including an MSc program in quantum information science, we are looking to hire one or more researchers who can extend the Computer Science department’s profile in quantum computing (broadly conceived). The department is part of the University of Copenhagen Quantum Hub together with Department of Chemistry, Niels Bohr Institute, Department of Biology, and Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Position as PhD Research Fellow in Mathematics available at the Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo.

Starting date no later than October 1, 2023.

The fellowship period is 3 years. A fourth year may be considered with a workload of 25 % that may consist of teaching, supervision duties, and/or research assistance. This is dependent upon the qualification of the applicant and the current needs of the department.

Description:
The Quantum Thermodynamics Group in the Department of Physics at UMBC invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the mentorship of Dr. Sebastian Deffner. This postdoctoral position is part of the newly founded Maryland Quantum Thermodynamics Hub, which is generously supported by the John Templeton Foundation.

We have an opening for a post-doctoral research fellow specialising in the design and fabrication of superconducting devices. The applicant will lead the development of new broadband Josephson parametric amplifiers and of its application to quantum measurements. The successful candidate will also work closely with the PI to develop future experimental goals and shape the general research direction of the group. There will be ample opportunities to explore personal ideas and participate in grant-writing processes.

Very Excited to announce this opportunity: 2 fully funded PhD openings in my lab in the domain of secure quantum communications! Looking for highly motivated students who wish to contribute to cutting edge research in a very promising area of quantum technologies. We have been working on quantum communications for several years now with a series of exciting results and energetic students who wish to make a difference and contribute to India’s growth in this field should apply!

Very Excited to announce this opportunity: 2 post doctoral fellowship openings at the Quantum Information and Computing lab, Raman Research Institute, Bangalore, India (https://wwws.rri.res.in/quic/) in the domain of secure quantum communications! Looking for highly motivated students (who have finished their PhDs) who wish to contribute to cutting edge research in a very promising area of quantum technologies.

Within the Italian National Centre for HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing (HPC) a PhD position is funded.

We are organising the Workshop: Near-term Quantum Computing 2023 that will take place at Zielna Center in Warsaw on 22-24 March 2023. The conference aims at bringing world-class experts working on quantum computing, especially those focusing on characterising the computational power and investigating possible practical applications of quantum computing devices consisting of a limited number of imperfect qubits. The scope of the workshop is all theoretical, experimental, computational and conceptual approaches to the problem.
