The Quantum Fluids of Light group led by Julian Schmitt at the Institute of Applied Physics, University of Bonn (Germany) is inviting applications for 2 PhD positions. The positions are funded within an ERC Starting Grant (TopoGrand). The successful candidates will collaborate with national and international partners. The specific research aims are as follows:

A PhD position is available in the Department of Mathematics at the University of York to work with Roger Colbeck on quantum random number generators (QRNGs). Random number generators are useful in a wide variety of applications. Quantum processes are needed to generate fundamental randomness. One of the difficulties in quantum random number generation is being confident that the process being used really can generate randomness. The usual way of doing so involves taking the random number generator apart and modelling each of its internal components in detail.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the broad area of Quantum Information Systems and Applications. The appointment is expected to begin September 1, 2023.

Tenure-Track Professorship in Theoretical Physics (W2)

Head of Quantum DTU Center
Do you want to take part in realizing the potential of a new and revolutionary technology?

DTU, Technical University of Denmark is seeking a dedicated person to head our cross disciplinary Quantum DTU center.

DTU has considerable activities with quantum technologies reaching from leading edge research on quantum based communication, quantum computing over quantum based sensors and fabrication of quantum devices.

The group of Asst. Prof. Wen Wei Ho at the Department of Physics, National University of Singapore (NUS), specializing in nonequilibrium quantum many-body physics and quantum information science, is seeking highly motivated candidates at the postdoctoral and PhD levels.

About the research:
Research thrusts include, but are not limited to:

The Physics Department of Virginia Tech invites applications for postdoctoral associate or senior research associate positions in theoretical quantum information and quantum gravity. The successful candidate will work in areas related to a subset of quantum information theory, quantum error correction, quantum gravity, and quantum many-body physics.
