We offer a 3-years PhD position (for UK or French nationals only) for a motivated researcher to join our work on applications of quantum magnetometry to complex 2D materials and heterostructures. This is a joint PhD position with the group of Prof Jean-Francois Roch at ENS Saclay, and the student will have the opportunity to spend a (fully-funded) research stay in Paris. The proposed project involves using state-of-the-art quantum magnetometer, based on a sensor as small as a single spin, to map magnetism in complex 2D heterostructures.

Are you passionate about teaching quantum information to an audience that is not quantum literate? And looking to contribute to a project short term? We have a position/contract available. Please get in touch. The formal arrangements are very flexible and can include remote or on-site. Start can be immediately.

Have you ever wanted to take part in the development of top photonic quantum technologies which will change our future? Are you eager to work side by side and learn from with the best quantum scientists, space agencies and high-tech companies? Do you want to boost your career in academia or business R&D in Europe and beyond? If your answer is “yes”, you are highly creative and hold a PhD in physics, computer science or mathematics or you will graduate in the next few months, then join our multi-national Quantum Technologies Research Group led by Prof. Magdalena Stobińska at the University of Warsaw. We have now 3 open positions which we plan to fill as soon as possible.

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Centre for Quantum Dynamics. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the experimental research of the ARC-funded project “Harnessing genuine quantum nonlocality”, led by Dr Sergei Slussarenko and Dr Nora Tischler. The project develops the science and tools behind device-independent quantum security for information networks, using quantum information encoded and distributed via photons.

Qalypso - a Summer School on Quantum Computing and Open Quantum Systems is being held on the beautiful Maltese island of Gozo 5th - 9th September.

The school features a basics track, created incollaboration with our main sponsor Quantinuum, which includes a 3 day crashcourse on quantum computing followed by a 2 day hackathon targeted towards undergraduate, master's students and individual starting their journey in quantum computing.

The Vienna Center for Quantum Science and Technology (VCQ) is a joint collaboration initiative, which currently involves about 25 research groups based at four leading research institutions in and around Vienna. The aim of the VCQ is to advance modern quantum science and technology based on a broad and multidisciplinary research agenda. The topics addressed within VCQ range from the foundations of quantum mechanics to complex quantum optical and many-body effects and their application for emerging quantum technologies.

The Ultracold Quantum Gases group at ICFO (Barcelona), led by Leticia Tarruell, is inviting applications for one PhD and one postdoctoral position in experimental AMO physics, within the frame of the ERC-funded project SuperComp.

The school has its scientific genesis in several European projects, whose common denominator is to develop and consolidate new interdisciplinary approaches for the characterization and control of complex quantum systems.

We are inviting applications to fill a PhD position to join the theory research group led by Carlos Gonzalez-Ballestero. The group is sponsored by the Quantum Nanophysics, Optics, and Information group that is jointly affiliated with the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of Innsbruck and the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Innsbruck, Austria.

Dates:

Wednesday, June 1, 2022 to Monday, July 4, 2022

I would like to inform you that like in the previous years, this year will also organize one of the most successful Summer School on “Quantum Information and Quantum Technology 2022 (QIQT-22)” for a period of one month starting from the 1st of June 2022.
The first and the second event QIQT -19 and QIQ-2021 were highly successful with more than 15000 young participants, many of whom have gone on to pursue a research career in the area of quantum information and quantum computation.
