Following the success of last year’s event in Zurich, Switzerland, this year’s Time in Quantum Theory conference will take place in person at the Technical University of Vienna (TU Wien), Austria. It will cover various fields from communities who do not usually have a common platform for interaction. Key questions which we wish to address include:
The group "Crystals and Quantum State Dynamics" (www.cqsd.fr) at IRCP (Chimie ParisTech/CNRS/PSL University), led by Dr. Philippe Goldner, is internationally recognized for developing rare earth doped crystals for applications in quantum technologies. These materials show unique properties in the solid-state in terms of long optical and spin coherence lifetimes, and are thus among the most promising materials for building light-matter interfaces at the quantum level.

Recent years have seen tremendous progress towards building the first small scale quantum computers and quantum communication networks. Companies such as Google, IBM and Microsoft have identified these fields as focus of their investment into the future. With these developments expected to continue, it will soon become crucial to better understand the possibilities and limitations of quantum information processing in order to make good use of the provided hardware.
We are offering PhD & postdoctoral positions to well-qualified, highly motivated, and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a stimulating environment.

I am currently seeking an outstanding candidate to join my group at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT USA. The position will focus in quantum cryptography, quantum information theory, and/or quantum networking; however you will have a lot of flexibility to pursue other quantum-related research projects or interests. Position pays over $34K USD per year depending on qualifications.

The Lewis-Swan atomic, molecular, and optical physics(AMO) theory group at the Center of Quantum Research and Technology (University of Oklahoma) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher working on theoretical problems in quantum simulation and many-body non-equilibrium physics with arrays of Rydberg atoms. Topics of interest will include relaxation and transport in disordered spin models, information scrambling and entanglement. Work will be conducted in close collaboration with the experimental group of Prof.
