We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Ph.D. student willing to join the international team undertaking the "First Team" research project entitled Integrated optics in time-frequency domain: a new versatile platform for quantum technologies, funded by the Foundation for Polish Science. The international project aims at research in the field of theoretical condensed matter as well as theoretical and experimental quantum optics.
Institution: Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland
The group (https://iqoqi.at/en/group-page-romero-isart) led by Oriol Romero-Isart in Innsbruck (Austria) is currently offering a PhD and a Postdoc position. The earliest starting date is March 1st 2020.
We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic researchers with an excellent scientific record on the areas related to the group research activities, as described below. Women are particularly encouraged to apply.
We are currently offering a PhD position in the field of quantum statistics and tensor network states (see: https://www.beyondc.at/subprojects/p12-dakic/). The appointed candidate will pursue the PhD at the University of Vienna under co-supervision of Borivoje Dakic (University of Vienna) and Frank Verstraete (University of Ghent).
