Applications are sought for a PhD studentship in condensed matter theory funded by the SEPnet collaboration. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. J. Quintanilla at the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL). There will be opportunities to collaborate with experimentalists working on these subjects at RAL’s ISIS neutron and muon source and with other theorists in the SEPnet collaboration.

The School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Leeds has a doctoral training grant available for UK and EU students. These prestigious awards are made by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Awards are available in the area of Optical and Quantum Optical Communications.
